In 2012 I made my first Blogger Blog. It was a classic theme which was not so good looking but as a start up it was every thing for me. I showed it to my friend and in return instead of appreciation, he showed me his WordPress Blog. It looked amazing and had some extra gadgets which i thought are something that i must have on my website but sadly at that time i was in learning stage and could not do anything so instead of working on bloggers i switched to WordPress and bought Themes and plugins. At the moment you can call us a Pro WordPress Developer.
Why i moved back from WordPress to Blogger Blog in 2020 after 08 Years?
Recently we received a lot of request for custom Blogger themes and our Blogger developers team is still busy working on them. Those who requested already were using WordPress blogs. The reason our blogger clients wanted to move to blog was this that they wanted to cut off their Hosting expenses due to the bad economic situation in 2020.
While seeing the situation I also decided to move my Blogs to Blogger because now blogger was offering Second generation layout themes Second generation layout themes which means that now we can design it to any thing that looks beautiful and amazing. This was not possible in 2012. Also site is hosted on Google's fast and trusted servers which do not slow down neither you will have issues of your site going down.
Mobile Friendly:
In 2012 Blogger was not so mobile friendly but now it is for your visitors. But still if you are going to use it from your mobile as a blogger / writer, i will recommend using it Via PC or Laptop.
Adsense Friendly:
If everything else on your Blog is fine then Adsense approves your Blogger Site faster than sites on other hosting which you submit for approval.
Secure:
Blogger is secure than WordPress. Hosting is on Googles secure servers and no one knows the coding behind it, which keeps hackers away from playing with it. Gadgets and themes are based on coding and even if you use some one else coding then Google will keep an eye on it and if anything goes wrong Google it self will jump in to keep it secure.
Only thing you have to keep secure is your google account on which you have made your blogger.
Space:
You will not have to worry about space or number of files you upload on Bloggers. But if you are using WordPress then it does have limits even if it is on your personal hosting or WordPress hosting.
Content Focused:
In Blogger once you are done with the design and Gadgets then you just have to focus on your content without worrying about anything else. So your focus remains on content which is the main requirement of the site by viewers and Google's Adsense. More Content means more viewers and earnings.
Lets now talk or say Request Google for some changes.
After talking about the good part lets request google for making some changes which will make it tough challenger for WordPress. As we have used Wordpress for more than 8 years so we know what Google should do.
Appearance Customizer - Coding
Google does have a Appearance Customizer but that is not enough when comparing it with WordPress Customizer. Wordpress have put almost everything in their customizer but Blogger has very limited options due to which you have to play with coding file of the theme.
Permalinks
Blogger allows you to change permalinks but you can not hide date from it but on other hand WordPress gives you complete control to keep your permalinks exactly as you wish. So google should consider changing this option. Some people ask if it effects SEO then Nope it does not.

Mobile friendly for Bloggers
Bloggers does not have an official app by google for bloggers. Also managing your blogger blog's design via Cell phone is not going to be an easy thing. If you want to write a post then that is not going to trouble you much in mobile but Google should consider launching an official app for cell phone users.
Gadgets vs Plugins
Blogger has very limited Gadgets on other hand you will find a plugin for WordPress of any kind. There are options to make Gadgets but Coding knowledge is required.
Categories, Tags and Labels

If you are just making a website for your Blog and have no special requirements then Blogger is going to fulfil your all needs. It will also will be beneficial for you as it will save you Hosting Expenses without compromising on Speed and security of your website.
But remember that this article is just for bloggers and if you use WordPress for sites like E-Commerce which are updated on regular basis then stick to your Custom script or Whatever you are using.
